Draper Teeth Whitening
Whiten your teeth quickly and conveniently! At Angel’s Smile Dental Care, you can get results in an hour with our in-office treatment or in just two weeks with our at-home whitening solution.
Why Do Teeth Turn Yellow?
Teeth have a natural pigment in them, and bleaching can lighten even this natural color. But beyond that, they can stain. Teeth staining occurs naturally. Over time, stains from the foods we eat settle deep into the dentin of the teeth, producing an off-white or yellow tinge. If you’ve tried whitening toothpaste, you may have wondered why it didn’t work for you. This is because the toothpaste only cleans at the surface level. Its cleaning power simply isn’t able to go deep enough into the dentin to remove stains.
What is the Best Way to Whiten Teeth?
Effectively whitening your teeth requires a bleaching agent that can seep down through the enamel and into the dentin and remain there long enough to dissolve the stains. At Angel’s Smile, both of our convenient bleaching treatments – in-office and at-home – use concentrated peroxide gel combined with the power of time for fast, reliable results.
In-Office Whitening
Our quickest solution is an in-office whitening session using Opalescence Pro. At this visit, we’ll first determine your current smile shade by matching it to a color sample. This way, when your treatment is finished, you’ll be able to see the striking comparison of your new shade to the old one.
Next, we’ll apply a protective coating to your gums to prevent contact with the peroxide gel that could cause irritation or sensitivity.
Then, we’ll treat your teeth with an ultra-strength gel containing 40% peroxide. To give the peroxide enough time to effectively dissolve deeply embedded stains, we’ll leave the gel on your teeth for an hour. During this time, you can lie back, relax, and listen to music.
Afterward, we’ll clean your teeth off and show you the results of your whitening!

At-Home Whitening

We’ll give you everything you need to get started at your initial appointment. To fit you for your tray, we’ll take digital impressions of your smile. We’ll also explain the protocol for your treatment, including the length of time you should wear your tray each day. After two weeks of at-home whitening, we’ll see you for a follow-up visit to make sure your teeth and gums are tolerating the peroxide gel well and to offer you additional gel, should you desire to pursue an even brighter smile.
Before We Begin
Before prescribing either of our whitening treatments, Dr. Bailey will need to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy. She will provide a comprehensive exam if you haven’t had one recently, but if you have, she’ll just do a quick, no-charge check.
